Bring Home Camille This Holiday

Camille wines are the perfect holiday gift or wine to share! The Camille wines are all blends. None are sourced from a single area, and from vintage to vintage, they will hold their overall identity, but the blends can change. Like your grandmother’s favorite dishes, there may be no exact recipe, and she might alter it a little each time she makes it, but it is always delicious.

Camille Brilliant

The sixth wine in our series, Camille Brilliant, is a remarkable standout as the only non-red wine. Sourced from the heart of the Côte de Bar subregion in Champagne, France, this exquisite creation is the result of our collaboration with Champagne Gruet, a family-owned winery with deep roots in the region dating back to 1670.

Camille Brilliant

Camille Brilliant is a meticulously crafted blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, and 10% Meunier, resulting in a rich and opulent Champagne. It delights the palate with notes of apple cider, preserved lemon, brioche, and cream. Aged for three years, this wine is a tribute to age, beauty, and wisdom.

The label features the profile of a beautiful woman, reveling in the glory of her years. Encircling her halo are oak leaves and acorns, symbols of life and immortality in Nordic tradition. Her crown is adorned with magnolia blossoms, representing nobility. The back label carries the inspiring quote: "We are not our age; we are our energy."

Camille Festive

The fifth wine in the Camille series, Festive celebrates the joy of light, warmth and hospitality that is felt during the winter holidays. As the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer, we toast to the light that shines within us and illuminates the world around us, the wine is a tribute to the joy of gathering with loved ones around a table lit by connection and lasting memories.

Camille Festive

St. Lucia’s Day, celebrated on December 13 in Scandinavia, is a festival of lights symbolized by the saint, who wears a lighted wreath on her head. The festival marks the beginning of the Christmas season and is meant to bring hope and light during the darkest time of the year.

Around our St. Lucia’s head is a halo rimmed with white amaryllis (symbolizing pride, strength, and determination) and eucalyptus (symbolizing strength and protection). We hope your festive season is full of light and love!

Unlike previous Camille wines, this is made from a single varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon. This varietal is both familiar and comforting, with its bold flavors and weight, like a warm, heavy blanket. Look for notes of black currant, black cherry, sage, cocoa, and baking spices.

The grapes come from two different regions in Sonoma County: Alexander Valley to the North and Sonoma Valley to the South. These regions are both known for hot, sunny days and cool nights where the fog rolls in to regulate the temperature.

The wine was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels. The result is a balance of fresh acidity, silky tannins, rich fruit, and savory herbal notes that linger on the palate and lead to a long, spice-laden finish.

The Camille Series

As I thought about making this series of wines a tribute to strength and bravery, my wife suggested using my middle name- Camille. In times when I have needed extra courage, I call on my own brave alter-ego to step forward! I think we all have that “inner Camille” that gives us strength when we call on it. As a valentine to my wife, a little starfish is found in the lower right corner of each label. Certainly, behind every great woman is another great woman!

The labels for the Camille wines were created specifically for Cooper’s Hawk. They are collages that incorporate several unique elements. The background prints are vintage wallpaper; the clothing comes from old paintings, the faces are tinted black and white photographs inspired by 19th-century Japanese photography, and the crown and halo are assembled from plant pictures. Little hidden images throughout engage the viewer. Some have stories; some do not. Every viewer connects with the labels in a different way and we love to hear from people what Camille means to them.
