Venture to the grasslands and estancias and witness Argentina’s most iconic inhabitants, the rugged gauchos (cowboys). We’ll explore the famed wine region of Mendoza known especially for their Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Semillon production. Approximately 60 miles outside of Mendoza City lies the provinces’ Uco Valley, a striking and captivating setting that lies below a stretch of the Andes which includes the 22,300-foot Mount Tupungato.
Visits, tours, and tastings will be made at vineyards that are historic as well as those that are on the cutting edge of winemaking. Throughout this adventure we’ll be enjoying the best of Argentina’s cuisine as well as partaking in a cooking class that teaches different methods of how to create tasty empanadas.
