Camille Brave stands as the inaugural creation in the Camille series, a collection of wines paying homage to resilient women whose actions inspire, from everyday kindness to historic boldness.
We are delighted to bring it back for the first time since 2019 when we released two vintages of the wine. Crafted with a stylistic focus on richness and spice, Zinfandel and Syrah consistently anchor all three vintages. While the blend varies annually, the overarching flavor profile persists.
Camille Brave 2024
Sourced from California's Paso Robles region, predominantly features Zinfandel, contributing a foundation of jammy fruit, pepper notes, and a hint of sweetness. Mourvèdre, native to southern France, introduces a delightful blend of floral, herbal, and spicy elements, while Syrah and Petite Sirah add violet and black pepper flavors as well as a beautiful purple hue. American oak aging rounds out the wine with vanilla and baking spice notes.

For reference on prior blends: 2016 Camille Brave was 65% Zinfandel, 32% Syrah, and 2% each Petite Sirah and Mourvèdre, all from Sonoma County. The 2017 Camille Brave was 85% Zinfandel and 15% Syrah from the North Coast.
The labels for the Camille wines were exclusively crafted for Cooper's Hawk, featuring collages that seamlessly blend various elements. Backgrounds draw from William Morris vintage wallpaper prints, clothing is inspired by old paintings, and faces are tinted black and white photographs reminiscent of 19th-century Japanese photography.
The crowns and halos are meticulously assembled from plant and flower pictures, with each one holding symbolic meanings that reflect the name of the wine. Throughout the labels, hidden images engage the viewer, each with its own story or mystery.
The Camille wines, being blends, lack a single source, maintaining an overall identity from vintage to vintage, though the specific blends may vary. Similar to a cherished family recipe, the wines evolve, with each year's blend representing a pursuit of the finest fruit to match the desired wine expression. It's an artful journey, and we delight in hearing how individuals connect with the unique stories and meanings embodied by Camille.
