As a member of the Esquire by Coopers’ Hawk team, the Food Runner expedites food and beverage service as well as carryout orders to create a positive experience for each restaurant Guest. Responsibilities • Greet all guests with hospitality and friendliness • Pick up and deliver food and/or beverage orders to assigned tables • Ensure tables in dining room are ready for service, including set-up, bussing, and maintenance during the guest experience, such as water, coffee and tea refills • Pack carryout orders according to established procedures. • Actively communicate with Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, Kitchen Staff and Tasting Room Attendants to ensure a memorable guest experience • Adhere to all Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk service standards • Engage with guests and answer questions about food, wine, and facilities in a friendly, helpful manner • Follow departmental checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure work areas are prepared for opening, mid-shift or closing in accordance with company guidelines • Responsible for sanitation and proper food handling • Complete necessary side work during non-busy hours • Maintain knowledge of Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk food and beverage offerings • Maintain professional relationships with all managers and team members • Maintain a professional image at all times by adhering to all appearance and behavior guidelines in the Employee Handbook • Perform other duties as assigned, including working special events
Requirements • Must represent Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk Values • At least 18 years of age • Experience working in a high-volume, full-service restaurant • Has a passion for guest service; hospitality-focused • Knowledge of and passion for food, wine and beverages • Hard-working and a team player • Ability to communicate clearly with Guests, managers and team members • Ability to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs • Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per day • Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length • Ability to perform essential functions to Cooper’s Hawk standards with reasonable accommodation • Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays • Must be able to read, write and understand English • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; basic reading, listening and speaking skills • Certified in responsible alcohol service (where required by state, city, or municipality), Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk will help provide, if needed.
