Orange Muscat

Orange Muscat is a special clone of the Muscat family, known for its dazzling aromatics and vibrant fruit character. What sets it apart is its striking perfume, which is so intensely floral that it often smells like you’ve stepped into a grove of blooming orange trees. Despite its name, this wine doesn’t come from oranges, but the name reflects that unmistakable citrus blossom aroma. Typically made in a lightly sweet style, Orange Muscat offers rich fruit flavor balanced with bright acidity, making it a versatile choice for food pairings or sipping solo.

The Orange Muscat Bottle

Muscat is one of the oldest grape families in the world, with a lineage that can be traced back to ancient Greece and Egypt. Its many clones—Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat Ottonel, and Orange Muscat among them—have spread across the globe, adapting to a wide range of climates and winemaking styles. Revered for its unmistakable floral and grapey character, Muscat has been used in everything from dry wines and sweet dessert wines to sparkling and fortified styles. Orange Muscat, believed to be a cross between Muscat Blanc and another unknown variety, is a more recent star, cherished for its concentrated aromatics and natural affinity for both sweet and savory pairings.
